WYK Impact Report 2026
Our 2026 Impact Report is here and it's our biggest year yet
We're excited to share our 2026 Impact Report, a look back at another year of helping young people break down barriers into digital and tech careers.
It hasn't been an easy climate to do that in. Government budgets have been cut, DE&I funding has been slashed, youth unemployment has climbed past 1 million, and AI is starting to reshape the very entry-level roles our WYKers are working towards. Despite all of that, WYK has continued to hit new heights.
The headline numbers
Since 2020, we've delivered:
50 cohorts and 1,301 learners supported
163 businesses supported, backed by £73,000 in donated ad spend
230 companies who've hired WYKers
92% course completion rate
72% of alumni earning £30k+ within two years of finishing their course
94% would recommend WYK to family and friends
96% report increased employability
Learner numbers passed 1,300 this year, up from 1,030 the year before, and the number of companies hiring WYKers grew to 230, up from 204 - proof that even in a tougher jobs market, our employer partnerships keep going from strength to strength.
A landmark Ofsted report
This year also brought our first ever Ofsted inspection, and the results speak for themselves: the Lead Inspector called WYK's results "a remarkable achievement from a relatively new provider," with Teaching & Curriculum and Inclusion both rated Strong. Add to that a third Direct Award from the Greater London Authority and a growing list of new partnerships across the private and public sectors, and it's been a year we're genuinely proud of.
From our founder
Rob Jackson, WYK's Founder, reflects on the year in the report's foreword:
"I genuinely believe there has never been a greater need for WYK's mission. The barriers that young people are facing are trending in the wrong direction. University is more cost prohibitive than ever before and the competition for entry level jobs is at its highest in a generation. This environment drives the WYK team to develop courses that make our trainees as competitive in the early careers space as possible. And we now have data that backs this up."

None of this would be possible without our funders, commissioners and employer partners, who continue to open doors for young people across the UK. Thank you for backing our mission — here's to another year of proving what young people can do when they're given the chance.
