ELIGIBILITY
As our programmes are funded, you will need to meet the following GLA eligibility criteria:
Aged 19+
Living in the Greater London Authority area
Right to work in the UK (Please note that Student Visas and Graduate Visas are not eligible)
Not in full time work or full time education
Age Eligibility
WYK is a non-profit organisation with a focus on supporting underrepresented young people to upskill and access employment opportunities.
As a result of this focus, we cap our age eligibility at 40.

Social Media Essentials
Learn the fundamentals of how businesses use social media to promote products and services across platforms.
Social Strategy
Understand social audiences and how to carry out market research, set goals and develop a social strategy.
Content Creation
Research, plan and create content for social media platforms, including copywriting, image creation, planning video, and responsible AI use.
Social Media Project
Create a social media proposal and presentation to showcase your skills, and be able to communicate your project work to employers in your CV and at interview.
Workplace Skills
Develop workplace skills such as teamwork, communication and time management, and learn how to communicate these to potential employers.
Progression Support
We’ll support you with your next steps, whether that’s continued learning with WYK on a level 3 programme or Skills Bootcamp, accessing other funded learning, or preparing to apply for work.

As this is a funded programme, you will need to meet the following eligibility criteria:
19+ at the programme start date
Right to work in the UK (Please note that Student Visas and Graduate Visas are not eligible)
Not eligible or not sure? Fill in our application form and the team will direct you to the right programme.

This is a part time programme, with 72 hours of live learning online and in person. You may require some additional time to complete assignments.

You may wish to continue learning with us and progress to a Level 3 programme or equivalent Skills Bootcamp, apply for apprenticeships or other roles, or continue learning elsewhere. Your assigned progression coach will discuss options and support your next steps.

No! This is a beginner level course for those who are unemployed or career changers. You just need an interest in social media and the time to commit to the programme. If you already have some social media experience, this won’t be the right fit for you - have a look at our other programmes.

You’ll just need to confirm that you can attend the sessions - please check individual programme times.
Many of our learners work part time around the programme hours. If you are employed full time and want to develop social media skills to progress in your role, please speak to your employer about the time commitment before applying.
